OGILVY: Where the USGA continues to get it wrong
Sitting at home watching the US Open at Shinnecock Hills, the first emotion I felt was envy. I’ve missed the last two championships after playing a ton of them in a row, but 2018 was different from 2017. Reigning Open champion Jordan Spieth has paid tribute to "one of the most masterful links players" to ever play the game after the death of Peter Thomson.

OGILVY: Patrick Reed’s past buried the lead
This bothered me. In the immediate aftermath of Patrick Reed’s recent victory in the Masters, nine-out-of-10 of the follow-up articles seemed to be about his background and his family.

OGILVY: We need to embrace golf’s balance
If you’re like me, you are getting a little tired of the distance/equipment/technology debate in golf.

Ogilvy to set up base back in Australia
After 17 years, eight victories – including a US Open – and $US30,453,424 in prize money collected, Geoff Ogilvy's PGA Tour future will involve fewer golf tournaments and longer flights.

Putting woes slow Woods at Quail Hollow
Tiger Woods struggled to adjust to slow greens as he slipped six strokes behind American leader John Peterson in the opening round of the Wells Fargo Championship in North Carolina.

OGILVY: Bubba Watson is a misunderstood genius
It’s safe to say that, from a distance at least, not many people in golf are quite sure what to make of Bubba Watson.

Aussies face last chance Masters saloon
Australia is set to field its smallest Masters contingent in 16 years unless Greg Chalmers or four of his countrymen can win their way into Augusta at this week's Houston Open.

OGILVY: The Rules of Golf can be an ass
Like most people in golf, I’ve been watching with interest as the upcoming “refreshing” of the rule book has evolved.

OGILVY: The things taking the fun out of golf
The question before me is simple: what am I most disappointed to see on any golf course?

OGILVY: Golf really is a game of opposites
One of the oldest clichés in golf is that it is a game of opposites. But like all clichés it is a cliché for a reason. It’s true in many ways.

OGILVY: Too easy to “blame the ball” in distance debate
The clue is in the title. I’m a professional golfer. That’s what I do for a living. So, logically, it follows that – whether I want to or not – I am going to work on my game in ways that are going to maximise my ability to make money.

Tiger Woods changed golf forever during his domination of the game and forced his contemporaries to rethink their approach to preparation.

OGILVY: Why we’re all chasing Jordan
Watching the Open Championship on television is not exactly my favourite view of golf’s oldest event – I’d much rather be there playing – but like every golf fan I thought this year’s final day was fantastic.

OGILVY: Why Royal Birkdale is so good
Ask just about any player to identify the best English course on the Open Championship rota and most are likely to answer, “Royal Birkdale.”
