Victoria’s Alistair Presnell has come within a stroke of forcing a play-off at the Chile Classic on the Web.com Tour after making eagles on two of his last five holes.
Victoria’s Alistair Presnell came within a stroke of forcing a play-off earlier today in the Chile Classic on the Web.com Tour.
Canadian Adam Hadwin birdied the final two holes to join and then move ahead of Presnell, who had earlier set the clubhouse mark at 15 under.

Hadwin, 27, was the 54-hole leader of a tightly packed leaderboard with 13 players all within three strokes of the lead. One-by-one they dropped off the charge, leaving Presnell to challenge Hadwin for the title. Presnell put his nose in front with eagles at the par-5s, the 14th and 18th holes to close with a four under 68.
Hadwin looked done after the 16th hole, which he bogied, but birdies at the final two holes gave him his first Web.com Tour title.
"I played very well this week and I stuck to my strategy until the end," Hadwin said.
Hadwin has moved to the top of the money list with his victory, while Presnell now sits in fourth place.
Victoria’s Ashley Hall was the best of the other Australians in the field, with a 12th place finish.
