Bang, 18 suffered a brain haemorrhage while preparing for a tournament.

She underwent emergency brain surgery and was placed on life support after the episode earlier this month.

Her family had earlier launched an online appeal to raise money to bring the Bang, who turned professional last year, back to Australia.

But the WPGA confirmed Bang, who won her first professional event at just her fifth start earlier this year, had passed away.

“The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the WPGA Tour of Australasia and the broader Australian golf community are with Jessica’s family, friends and all those who knew and loved her at this incredibly difficult time,” a WPGA Tour of Australasia statement said.

The teenager turned professional last year after an outstanding amateur career.

She won the Women’s NSW Open Regional Qualifying tournament at Moss Vale in February and was preparing to play in the KLPGA Tour's International Qualifying Tournament in Bangkok.
