A record breaking 25 under performance from American Jon Curran has denied Victoria's Ash Hall from a maiden victory on the Web.com Tour in Brazil.
American Jon Curran fired a two-under-par 69 on the final day to cruise to a four-stroke win at the end of a record breaking week at the Brasil Champions event on the Web.com Tour.

After opening with a 61 in the first round Curran continued to plunder the Sao Paulo Golf Club course for a wire-to-wire win, only the second on Tour in more than six years.
The 27-year-old sealed the deal with a birdie on the 72nd hole and a 25-under 259 total to claim his first career win and a first-place cheque worth $144,000.
“I kept thinking to myself all day that I wasn’t nervous, I was just anxious,” said Curran, who led by four at the start of the day. “I said to myself that it was going to be okay if I wasn’t in the lead at some point, I just wanted to have a chance on the back nine.”
Alex Cejka, the winner of the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship last week, finished second at 21-under, while Victoria’s Ash Hall was a further shot back in third. The result for Hall follows on from his top-10 finish at the New Zealand Open a few weeks back.

Hall had his chances to catch Curran, but the American didn’t give his opponents any look in, playing the final round like an experienced veteran. Curran not only grabbed the victory but he made several entries into the record-book with highlights every day – he made eight consecutive birdies the first round, had the second-lowest 36-hole score (125) in history, matched the lowest 54-hole score ever (190) and his 259 total equaled the fifth-best since the Tour’s inception in 1990.
“Somebody once said that you’re going to face something in the final round that you haven’t faced all week,” he said. “The guys who win deal with it and the guys that don’t, don’t win.”
Of the other Australians in the field in Brazil, Victorian Cameron Percy closed with a 64 to surge into the top-10, while Mat Goggin (-14) and Steve Allan (-13) helped their money list rankings with good performances.
