Hideki Matsuyama fired a 63 on Sunday to level overnight leader Russell Henley, before defeating the American in sudden-death for the Sony Open title. Here is what the reigning Masters champion had in the bag.
WINNING SCORE: 23-under-par, 257.

PUTTER: Scotty Cameron Timeless 2 GSS.
BALL: Srixon Z-Star XV.
EQUIPMENT NOTES:
Matsuyama is renowned as a top quality ball striker, but it was his work on the greens rather than into them this past week that got the job done. The Japanese star lead the field in Strokes Gained: Putting with his Scotty Cameron flatstick, the blade style almost a constant throughout his PGA Tour career.
- The 29-year-old is now a seven-time winner on the PGA Tour, and while typically one to tinker with his equipment, Matsuyama's bag has remained much the same in recent times. In fact the only change to his setup since his win at home in Japan last year was moving from a iron set matching pitching wedge to a speciality 46 degree Cleveland wedge.
Matsuyama’s win adds to his ZOZO Championship victory giving Srixon golf balls a second win for the 2021/22 PGA Tour season.
QUOTE: "I'll have my share of sake tonight and we'll see you all in San Diego at Torrey Pines.” – Hideki Matsuyama.
