Saudi Arabia is to host two women's golf tournaments in November, the first sports events to be held in the kingdom since it imposed restrictions due to the pandemic.
Held under the umbrella of the Ladies European Tour, the tournaments will also be the first women's professional golf events to be held in Saudi Arabia.
The tournaments are to be held at the King Abdullah Economic City by the Red Sea.
The Aramco Saudi Ladies International is to be held from November 12-15, with AU$1.4 million. This tournament was originally planned for March and more than 100 golfers are expected to take part.
The second is the Saudi Ladies Team International, to be held November 17-19, with prizemoney of AU$700,000.
There will be 36 teams, four members each, competing for individual and team prizes. It will also allow professionals to partner with amateurs.
Both tournaments are to be held while ensuring precautionary health measures. According to the event's website, there will be no tickets for sale due to the coronavirus.
