The 144th Open Championship returns to the Old Course at St Andrews in 2015 and you could be there, after having played some of the best courses in England and Scotland.
The Golf Touring Company has a 13-night luxury tour to the Open next year, including nine rounds of golf, a season pass to the Open Championship and accommodation during the Open right in the heart of St Andrews, just 200 metres from the 1st tee.
Escorting the tour will be Richard Mercer, who has been a member of the Australian PGA for over 30 years. He has played on the Australasian, Japanese and European tours (including the 1984 British Open at St. Andrews, Scotland). Today Richard is the director of the Richard Mercer Golf Academy at The Vintage in NSW's Hunter Valley where he has been nominated NSW PGA Instructor of the Year three times. He will take pleasure in regaling you with stories of his life both on and off the course. He might even help with some playing tips along the way.
The tour starts on July 7 in the north west of England with first round of the following day at the acclaimed Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club, created by the legendary James Braid.

Rounds at Royal Lytham & St Annes and Prestwick, birthplace of The Open Championship, follow over the next two days before arriving at the five star Turnberry Resort and the famed Ailsa course that hosted three Opens. A links golf clinic precedes 18 holes on the layout where Greg Norman famously won his first Claret Jug in 1986.
The tour then moves to the Gleneagles Resort where you will play the PGA Course that will host this year’s Ryder Cup before then transferring to St Andrews, The Home of Golf, which will be your base throughout the championship. From here you will travel to nearby courses including Carnoustie, Trump International Links, Kingsbarns and the Kittocks course, which is set on cliff tops that offer a view towards St Andrews.
Then it will be time to take a rest from playing and attend the final two rounds of the Open, before heading home the day after the Championship.
The cost to join this once in a lifetime experience tour is $17,995 per person twin share (a single supplement is available on request) and includes all accommodation, golf, season pass to the Open Championship, full breakfast each day, selection of other meals including three course dinners at Turnberry and Gleneagles. International flights, visas and travel insurance are not included.
If you book your spot before June 30 this year you will receive a $500 discount.
