Green followed up her course record opening round with a six-under round of 65 on Friday afternoon to stand alone at the top of the leaderboard at 13-under-par – one stroke clear of overnight co-leader Andrew Evans.

Further in the field, Whitney Hillier, Cassie Porter, Momoka Kobori and Matthew Millar share third place at ten-under-par and Green expects the low-scoring to continue.

The West Australian expects that she will keep lighting up the course over the weekend with her prediction that a score between 20- and 30-under will be required to win.

“That's what I’m striving for. If that doesn’t come out with a win then I can’t really complain,” Green said.

Earlier in the day, Australian PGA Champion Jed Morgan retired hurt during his second round due to a neck injury.

Tomorrow is Yellow Day at the Cobram Barooga Golf Club, with crowds expected to create a sea of yellow with the event being played in memory of Jarrod Lyle.

Entry is via gold coin donation, with all funds going to Challenge, the charity that Jarrod supported since 2004 with the primary aim of easing the pressure and pain of those who go through what he and his family endured.
