One of Australia’s youngest major golf champions, Grace Kim, has been unveiled as the latest Ambassador for Golf Australia’s MyGolf Powered by Ripper GC program.
A member of the LPGA Tour since 2023, Kim achieved her breakthrough major championship victory at last year’s Amundi Evian Championship, winning in a playoff after a thrilling finish in France.

The 25-year-old was also a member of Australia’s International Crown-winning team in Korea in October and climbed to a career-high world ranking of No.21.
As a standalone female ambassador of MyGolf Powered by Ripper GC, Kim’s appointment comes at an important time in Australian golf, with women and girls now leading the participation growth in the sport.
Around 1.7 million women played golf in Australia last year.
MyGolf Powered by Ripper GC is Australia’s most fun, exciting, accessible and trusted national junior golf participation program for kids aged 5-12.
It is unique in providing dynamic, game-based learning experiences built around confidence, friendships, and life skills.
Both PGA Professionals and National Program Deliverers play important roles in delivering the program, ensuring youth participants receive world-class instruction and mentorship and laying the foundation for the next wave of Aussie golfers at the grassroots level.
After partnering with Australia’s LIV Golf team Ripper GC in 2025, MyGolf also has the support of Aussie men’s golfing stars Cam Smith, Elvis Smylie, Marc Leishman and Lucas Herbert.
Girls’ participation in MyGolf is up 27% year-on-year, growing at twice the rate of boys.
With a third of last year’s 40,000+ participants being girls, there is strong momentum across Australia to make golf more accessible and appealing to young females.
Building on this growth, Kim, who started playing the game when she was 10 years old, is set to play a key role in engaging more Aussie kids to play golf through junior clinics, digital content, and national campaigns, helping showcase golf as a fun, inclusive, and lifelong sport for all.
Grace Kim said, "I’m incredibly proud to become an ambassador for MyGolf Powered by Ripper GC.
“Golf has given me so much, and I’m passionate about showing young girls and boys just how fun and rewarding the game can be.
“It’s a sport you can play for life, and I hope through my ambassadorship I can help inspire more kids to give it a go."
“MyGolf has introduced golf to thousands of Aussie girls and boys to our sport.
“It’s the perfect pathway for young Aussies to pick up a golf club for the very first time.”
Acting General Manager of Participation at Golf Australia, Chris Crabbe, said Grace Kim is the perfect ambassador to inspire the next generation to play golf.
"Grace is an incredible role model,” he said.
“She is a proven winner on the world stage, and as our standalone female ambassador, she is going to help us inspire more girls, as well as boys, across the country to play golf.
“With nine in 10 MyGolf participants continuing to play after completion of the program and 18% becoming club members in the future, it shows how important the program is for Australian golf.”
