A quarterfinalist at last week’s North & South Women’s Amateur at Pinehurst No. 2, Bosio will face American Gianna Clemente in the next round after accounting for Kynadie Adams and Mackenzie Lee in the rounds of 16 and 32 respectively.

“I think I’ve been in pretty good form lately. I've been playing pretty well,” Bosio said. “I just came out of the North and South, obviously, lost in the quarters, so hopefully tomorrow I can go a bit deeper than the quarters.”

Playing just 42 holes over the three completed rounds of match play, the least of any competitor still alive in the tournament, Bosio will have more in the tank than her fellow quarterfinalists after another hot day in the Kentucky sun.

Temperatures didn’t quite reach the levels of the sweltering Wednesday conditions after an overnight thunderstorm, but Bosio’s play remained white hot.

All square with Lee after seven holes of a seesawing battle in the round of 32, Bosio rattled off four straight birdies starting at the par-3 8th to take a commanding 4-up lead. Another birdie at the par-3 13th sandwiched by pars gave World No.96 a 5&4 victory.

There wasn’t the same birdie blitz in the afternoon matchup with Adams, but steady play did the job for the 18-year-old who made the turn 3-up before winning the 14th and 15th with pars to claim a 4&3 win.

The quarterfinals will be followed by semi-finals in the afternoon on Friday local time at The Club at Olde Stone, with Bosio hoping to continue her run of form and dominance to join Minjee Lee as Australian winners of the U.S. Girls Junior.
