Headlining the early entries for the fourth and final co-sanctioned WPGA Tour of Australasia and Ladies European Tour (LET) tournament to be staged in Australia throughout February and March are defending champion Su Oh and LET members Kelsey Bennett, Kirsten Rudgeley, Maddy Hinson-Tolchard, Justice Bosio, and Steph Bunque.

They will be joined by Lydia Hall (Wales) and Ashley Lau (Malaysia), who have both been winners on the WPGA Tour of Australasia at the Vic Open, and long-time LPGA Tour member, Australia’s Sarah Kemp, who has 12 WPGA wins and almost 50 major championship appearances on her record.

Major champion winner Hannah Green and fellow LPGA star Steph Kyriacou are also in the field.

WPGA Tour of Australasia Chief Executive Officer Karen Lunn said the Australian WPGA Championship, staged in conjunction with the Gold Coast Festival of Golf, was set to be a four-day celebration of the women’s game.

“We’re excited to be back on the Gold Coast with the Australian WPGA Championship which will be a real highlight of the first half of our 2026 Tour season,” Lunn said.

“Sanctuary Cove’s Palms Course is a world-class venue and will be a fantastic stage for our leading Australians and international players to showcase their talent.

“It’s a great opportunity to watch some first-class golf and enjoy all the attractions and entertainment at the Festival of Golf.”

Lunn said the blend of Australian stars and international winners would ensure a highly competitive championship where the winner will receive the Karrie Webb Cup in honour of Australia’s best ever female professional.

“Players like Kirsten, Kelsey, Maddy, Justice, Su, Steph and Sarah are outstanding ambassadors for Australian women’s golf and looking to have a huge 2026,” she said.

“At the same time, the inclusion of Lydia Hall and Ashley Lau, who have both enjoyed success on the WPGA Tour of Australasia, adds some real depth to the field which we will continue to add to over coming weeks.”

The Australian WPGA Championship will be a feature of the Festival of Golf – a high-energy, feel-good celebration where golf meets food, fun, fashion, and community spirit.

Like the championship, the festival will be Free to attend and packed with entertainment and golfing experiences and displays.

It will run from 11am to 6pm on Thursday, March 19 to Saturday, March 21; and 11am to 5pm on Sunday, March 22.

Gold Coast Acting Mayor Mark Hammel said: “The stars have aligned to again secure the Australian Women’s PGA for our city. This year, the tournament is a standalone event, elevating its status as the premier women’s golf tournament in Australia.

“Hosting the PGA adds depth to our annual major events calendar and will shine a light on the best female athletes on tour. I urge all golf fanatics to get behind these incredible athletes when the PGA tees off next month.’’
