Turf War: Victoria and Cheltenham in battle over public track's new lease
Cheltenham Golf Club, the 95-year-old, nine-hole, public course that shares a border with Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne’s famous Sandbelt, will face a vote in Bayside City Council chambers on Tuesday evening to determine the future of its lease. And its near-neighbour Victoria has emerged among the key opponents of Cheltenham's ambitions.
