The 100th edition of the Australian Open will be played in November. Here, thanks to Golf Australia, we look back at some of the great moments in the championship.
Aaron Baddeley made world headlines when he won the 1999 Australian Open while still an amateur. He became the eighth amateur in the history of the Open, and the first since 1960, to outgun the pros. His victory, over Greg Norman by two strokes, was proclaimed by Peter Thomson as one of the finest he had seen and “he looks the equal of Tiger Woods.”
