- A noted ball-striker and son of a PGA professional, Ormsby relied on his strong iron play around Hong Kong Golf Club, where he is now a two-time winner. The South Australian hit 81.48 percent of greens in regulation for the week with three different Titleist iron models in his setup, ranking him fourth in that category. The clinical approach display combining with a top-5 rating for putts per green in regulation to deliver his third professional win.
- Ormsby was the first part of a three-peat for Titleist’s Pro V1x golf balls over the weekend, Branden Grace and Cameron Smith using the same model for their victories in South Africa and Hawaii respectively, while the brand’s golf balls were also used by nine of the top-12 in Hong Kong, including Ormsby’s fellow Aussies David Gleeson and Terry Pilkadaris.
