BALL: Titleist Pro V1x.
EQUIPMENT NOTES:
Poston earns the first win for Titleist’s new TSR range of drivers that debuted on Tour the previous week at the Travelers Championship. Details of the new models are scarce given the line remains in the “Tour Seeding” process where the best players in the world are fitted and then test the newest release in competition.
-
The 29-year-old was exceptionally solid from tee to green at TPC Deere Run, finding more than 70 percent of the fairways and 83 percent of the greens in regulation. Poston uses a the lower lofted and more powerful ‘S’ version of the T100 for his longest iron before carrying a full set of the standard model. His victory continuing the strong run for the newest Vokey Design Wedges, the SM9 model winning with regularity on the PGA Tour since first being introduced at the Sentry Tournament of Champions where Aussie Cam Smith gave the line an immediate victory.
-
Poston’s second career win on the PGA Tour is the 20th from 27 events on the PGA Tour in 2022 for Titleist’s Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls.
