EQUIPMENT NOTES:
Ko tends to be a player that mixes and matches brands in her bag and makes fairly regular changes, particularly with the driver and putter. The 10-time LPGA Tour winner has had Titleist’s TSi3 driver in the bag for a number of months now, while her Scotty Cameron is a recent addition and a very successful one. Ko put the new flatstick in play just over a month ago when at home in Korea, and since returning to the U.S. has finished inside the top-10 four times with two wins.
-
Recently adding a second hybrid to her bag, Ko’s Bridgestone irons are not offered in the U.S. or Australian markets, while she has previously carried a highest lofted wedge of just 56°. The combination of hybrids, irons and three wedges helping her to once again put on an extremely impressive ball striking performance.
-
Ko’s win is the third from the last four events on the LPGA Tour for Titleist golf balls and part of a three win weekend for the brand across the European, PGA and LPGA Tours
QUOTE: "I changed this putter five or six weeks ago in Korea, and I use this putter four weeks in a row from the Portland and here. I got two wins with this putter and two top-10s, so, yeah, I think I will love to this putter.” – Jin Young Ko.
