Adam Scott won’t be part of the third season of the indoor, high-tech TGL despite expansion to a seventh team with 35 players now involved.

Scott had been part of TGL co-founder Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common team for the inaugural two seasons but has lost his spot, replaced by McIlroy’s great mate Shane Lowry for the upcoming season.

Lowry was the league’s first-ever trade, moving from The Bay GC to Boston Common.

“Shane is a great friend and someone I love having alongside me in team competition,”   McIlroy said

“We’ve had some special wins together, including at the Zurich Classic, and I know the quality of his game and how much he cares about winning for his teammates. I’m delighted to welcome him to Boston Common Golf and excited about what we can achieve together this season.”

Two-time major champ Xander Schauffele,  2009 U.S. Open winner Lucas Glover and Kevin Kisner have also been left out for the new bulked-up season which begins on December 27.

Min Woo Lee remains on The Bay’s team and will be joined by Open champion Ryan Fox.

Brooks Koepka will lead the new Motor City Golf Club with Bud Cauley, Si Woo Kim, Jake Knapp and Jackson Koivun on his team.
