FINAL LEADERBOARD

EQUIPMENT NOTES:

  • Ko claimed victory in sudden death, her first ever play-off having recorded her second round of 64 for the week. Both rounds of 64 (Friday and Sunday) coming on the back of a hot putter, with the Korean needing just 24 and 27 putts respectively. Having recently switched to the flow neck mallet Scotty Cameron in her bag, Ko has since gone on a tear and likely won’t be removing the flatstick any time soon. An extremely popular trend on Tours around the world, the slightly slanted neck design helps add toe flow to the more stable and forgiving mallet designs.

  • A player that switches her equipment fairly regularly, Ko has recently inserted a large number of Titleist clubs into her setup and gave the brand’s TSi range of drivers an 10th LPGA Tour win with her latest victory. Ko also opts for a number of the brand’s fairway woods and hybrids, meaning she carries just five irons before moving into her speciality wedges, all of which carry quite a low amount of bounce.

  • Ko’s second consecutive win marks the 24th win from 28 events for Titleist golf balls on the LPGA Tour this season.

QUOTE: "I wasn't that nervous going into the playoff. I think I was feeding off the confidence I had during the round. When I was heading to the tee ground, I turned to Dave and I told him that this was my first playoff ever, and he smiled, and he said, "Welcome." And that helped me ease those nerves. – Jin Young Ko.
