EQUIPMENT NOTES:
Kokrak’s third career PGA Tour win came on the back of a hot putter, with the American ranking third for Strokes Gained: Putting for the week in Texas. The 36-year-old opts for a Bettinardi mallet putter and has regularly paid tribute to his caddie David Robinson for his improved putting over recent seasons that saw him finally break into the winner’s circle on the PGA Tour.

Despite using the latest SIM2 fairway wood models, Kokrak has remained loyal to the original SIM driver from TaylorMade. The model helping him to rank 20th in the field for driving distance at Memorial Park, while his PXG irons and Titleist Vokey wedges saw Kokrak hit 75 percent of greens in regulation for the week (T4), including 15 of 18 on Sunday.

Born in Canada, but officially representing America, Kokrak ends the streak of non-American winners on the PGA Tour, while his victory gives Titleist golf balls a fourth win from eight events on the world’s biggest circuit so far this season.
QUOTE: "Contemplated actually withdrawing because I was hitting it so bad, but felt some nice things on the range and got it going in the pro-am and got off to a nice start. Made a couple stupid mistakes, but really kind of ups and downs all week.” – Jason Kokrak.
