  • One of the equipment free agents on the PGA Tour, with Gay’s only contract in place to play Titleist golf balls, the now five-time winner uses a mixed bag of clubs that work for him. Like many of the others who opt to go without a full bag sponsor, Gay uses TaylorMade woods and Titleist wedges, with his Srixon irons also featuring in the bags of other free agents at times in recent years.

  • Missing four straight cuts before his victory, Gay’s win is his first top-10 since the same event last year and continues the strong start of players using Titleist’s Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls to the new PGA Tour season, with five wins from eight events and three in a row.

QUOTE: “I've struggled the last few months and been quite miserable on the course at times. Everyone around me kept telling me you're still going to win. My wife says you're still going to win, do it again.” – Brian Gay.
