Engineered to inspire confidence and maximise performance, the G740 features a wider sole width (+22% vs. G440), longer blade length, and a thicker topline. Together, these design elements maximise perimeter weighting and help lower the centre of gravity, increasing MOI for more forgiveness, higher launch and improved ball-speed retention on mishits.

To further support launch and distance, the 5- to 6-iron incorporates a ¾" length progression, helping golfers hit shots higher and farther.

A key feature of the G740 is its wider dual-camber sole, which positions the CG down and back to promote consistent ball speeds and higher launch. This is particularly beneficial for the target golfer, who tends to strike the ball low on the face. The dual-camber design also improves turf interaction, allowing the club to move more efficiently into and out of the ground.

Additional performance gains come from a shallower face height and a shorter hosel, which save weight and allow mass to be repositioned toward the back of the cavity. This not only helps maintain a high MOI but also improves sound and feel. The thin, flexible face is supported by a new three-piece PurFlex cavity badge, designed to attenuate vibrations and significantly enhance the impact experience.


The G740 iron set comprises 5-9, PW, U wedge, 50°, and 56°, with precision-milled grooves on all four wedges to improve short-game performance.
