9:05 am: An electric final day concludes. Jason Day is just three back. Can the Aussie make a charge tomorrow? If you can't get to a TV, join our Sunday Live Blog to find out.

9:05 am: Burns lags his birdie putt close, taps in for par. McIlroy stalks his putt, analysing every angle, break and slope. It just drifts by, great putt from the defending champion. He will play in the final group with Young tomorrow.

9:00 am: McIlroy, 148 to the flag, launches it into orbit and charges after it. Slightly long of the flag, but a birdie chance from about 20 feet.

8:55 am: Reed and Rose both miss their par and birdie putts at 18. No bogeys in Rose's Saturday 69. Reed's final hole bogey rounds out a frustrating even-par round. Althouh he is not out of contention at seven under.

Burns and McIlroy are both in prime position on the 18th fairway after great drives.

8:50 am: The par putt doesn't drop for McIlroy. He is back in a share for the lead with Young, with a hole left to play.

8:50 am: Rory punches a low one that scurries across the green. He left himself plenty of green to work with, but still has an awkward 10-footer coming back up the hill.

Burns hit his wedge from the middle of the fairway long, but has a comfy two-putt par.

8:40 am: Lowry has a long look for birdie on 18 to get to 10 under for the tournament. The Irishman has been brilliant today.

McIlroy finds the trees off the 17th tee with another brutal left miss. He will have copious amounts of tree trouble to combat.

McIlroy makes his birdie at 15 and cleans up for par on 16. He has the outright lead again at 12 under - what he started the day at.

8:25 am: First fairway of the tournament on the par-5s for the week for McIlroy at 15.

It's like being in a time machine, a brilliant iron shot on 15 that looks a lot like the famous 7-iron he hit on Sunday on the same hole from a similar spot. McIlroy has an eagle look at 15.

8:15 am: Burns is playing so solidly, he hits another brilliant wedge shot into 14, using the backstop behind the hole to have a fantastic look at birdie. Rory yanks another shot left. He holds the green but has a long look for birdie. Frustrating stuff after his best drive of the day.

He rolls it in! McIlroy is back in the lead! Sharing top spot with Young, who is in the clubhouse at 11 under with a 65 today. Burns misses his short birdie chance, low of the hole.

Day signs for 68, the Queenslander right in contention heading into Championship Sunday.

8:05 am: McIlroy hits some kind of peg or stake in the ground with his second and then proceeds to blade his third long of the green. But rolls a delicate putt from off the putting surface to a kick-in par. He is the only player in the top-15 who is over par today.

Lowry finds the water at 15, and Burns moves into a share of second, making a birdie at 13.

8:00 am: McIlroy spends time moving the patrons as he ponders his next move from the trees. This happens all while Reed and Lowry are making birdies ahead of him.

Lowry moves to within two of Young. A wild turn of events on Saturday, Young was eight shots back from McIlroy at the start of the day.

7:50 am: Birdie at 13 for Rose. He looks in complete control as he looks to go one better than last year; he is eight under.

McIlroy cannot hit a fairway. He finds the pinestraw again on 13, he is yet to hit a fairway on the par-5s this week, and it looks to be catching up to him.

Day drops a shot after finding the fairway bunker on 16.

7:40 am: Taking his time over this chip, McIlroy takes the low route and leaves himself a 15-footer just to save par.

On 16, Cam Young holes a bomb. Breaking right to left, he nails it. He has the lead on his own after McIlroy fails to capitalise his par save.

7:35 am: It is getting ugly for McIlroy. He continues to miss left with his irons, missing the par-3 12th with a PW in hand well to the left of the green. It will be a tricky up and down from here.

7:30 am: Brilliant effort from the drop zone from McIlroy, but it ends up being a double bogey as his short putt lips out. A three-shot lead dissolves before his eyes; the deficit is just one.

Burns makes a birdie, and it is all on here at Augusta National.

7:25 am: A massive error from McIlroy, who misses the green to the left at 11 and finds the water with his iron shot. It has just looked off all day, and this could be catastrophic for the defending champion.

In what appeared to be big trouble, Young turned it into excellent crisis management. The American found the water on 15 but hit a crispy wedge from the drop zone, and lipped the putt in the right edge for a bogey.

Day rolls his eagle chip across the edge of the cup on the same hole, makes the birdie putt coming back for four in a row. Nine under for the Queenslander, he could be one shot back once McIlroy wraps up at 11.

7:15 am: Day moves to eight under with his third birdie at 14; he is four back from McIlroy.

Young also birdies 14 to get to 11-under; just one shot off the lead.

A brilliant iron shot from McIlroy at 10, he launches an iron into the sky, and it lands like a butterfly, trickling out to six feet. He gets up there and rolls it in for a birdie; the lead is two.

7:00 am: Plenty of scoring is happening across the course, eagles and birdies everywhere.

Not for McIlroy, he makes the turn at even par; he is two clear of Cameron Young, who made birdie at 13, as did his playing partner, Jason Day.

6:45 am: McIlroy makes a disappointing par at the par-5 8th, the easiest hole on the golf course.

Jason Day makes a birdie-two on the par-3 12th to get into the group at six-under for the tournament.

6:30 am: A bogey-free 65 for Scheffler.

Another brilliant par save from the greenside bunker for McIlroy at 7, Burns makes par to remain at two under for the day.

6:20 am: Cam Young makes another birdie. The Players' champion is five under for his round and moves into a share of second at -9.

6:10 am: McIlroy is in some strife on 6 after missing the green at the par-3 well to the left. The irons have looked off so far today. Impressive chip to give himself a look at par, the short game has been immaculate this week and is continuing to show up for him.

Right in the heart, the defending champion remains three clear.

6:00 am: Burns and McIlroy trade pars at 5. Collin Morikawa holes out for an eagle on 15.

Ludvig Aberg makes three birdies on the bounce on 10-12.

Sam Burns hits a lovely wedge shot into 1 and rolls in his birdie putt with authority, while McIlroy misses the green long. The defending champ then left himself a tricky 7-footer for par, which he missed; a bogey to start and a two-shot swing on the opening hole.

The lead goes from six to four.

5:00 am: Scheffler gets to -6. Reed birdies the first to get to -7. McIlroy and Burns both get their Saturdays underway with solid drives.

Patrick Cantlay is bogey-free today; the American is three under for his round currently.

Jason Day has a short birdie look at the 3rd after a delicate chip.

4:30 am: Plenty of movement is happening around the golf course. Rory McIlroy looks relaxed and composed as he gets some reps in on the chipping green.

4:20 am: Scheffler nearly holes out on 9! That would've got him into a tie for second. Don't put a line through the world No. 1; cleans up for a birdie.

4:00 am: The World No.1, Scottie Scheffler, has started his pursuit of the lead. The Texan is four under par through eight holes today. Fellow major Champion Matt Fitzpatrick has also made a solid start, the Englishman two under through five, and three under for the tournament.
