MGI's Navigator G800 motorised golf buggy as been selected as a finalist in the Sports & Leisure division of this year’s Australian International Design awards.
The Navigator G800 is the only golf product selected in this category. The Australian International Design Awards is recognised by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) as Australia’s peak design endorsement scheme.
With its origins dating back to 1958, the Australian International Design Awards has a proud 50-year legacy of promoting new, innovative and well-designed products in Australia and throughout the world.
The NavigatorG800 is the world's first motorised golf buggy with onboard GPS course mapping and StraightTracker technology. The game of golf needs more fun and faster play to keep and attract new players. The Navigator uses Sureshotgps software displaying distances to all hazards and greens increasing speed of play.
While StraightTracker technology maintains the straight direction irrespective of terrain. Full direction remote control increases enjoyment while allowing the golfer to concentrate on the game and not pulling or directing a buggy. A one-piece frame, ergonomically designed with sporty looks is a welcomed addition for every golfer of any age.
The 2011 Australian International Design awards will be presented on Friday July 22 at Peninsula, in Docklands, Melbourne.
