Leishman will play the first two rounds at Augusta National alongside 14-time major winner and four-time Masters champion Woods, as well as England's Tommy Fleetwood.

The trio will face enormous crowds awaiting Woods' first competitive Masters since 2015 when the group tees off at 10.42am local time (12.38am Friday AEDT) in Thursday's first round.

Fellow Australian Jason Day has also been given a marquee group, playing alongside two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson and former British Open champion Henrik Stenson at 11.04am (1.04am Friday AEDT)) on day one.

Australia's only Masters champion, Adam Scott, will also play in front of a bumper crowd given he's been placed with four-time major winner Rory McIlroy and Spanish World No.3 Jon Rahm.

Scott's group will get their first round underway at 1.38pm (3.38am Friday AEDT).

Rounding out the four-man Aussie contingent at Augusta is Brisbane native Cameron Smith, who will tee off at 11.26am (1.26am Friday AEDT) with Billy Horschel and Chez Reavie.

Other big-name groups include 2015 Masters winner Jordan Spieth playing with in-form Swede Alex Noren and 2010 Open champ Louis Oosthuizen at 1.49pm (3.49am Friday AEDT)).

Three-time Masters champion Phil Mickelson will tee off at 1.27pm (3.27am Friday AEDT) with World No.8 Rickie Fowler and American veteran Matt Kuchar.

Sergio Garcia will begin his Masters title defence at 10.53am (12.53am Friday AEDT) playing alongside World No.2 Justin Thomas and US Amateur Champion Doc Redman.

World No.1 Dustin Johnson, who missed last year's Masters due to a freak fall down a staircase, will play with English star Justin Rose and Spain’s Rafael Cabrera-Bello at 2pm. (4.00am Friday AEDT).
