The New South Welshman finishing in second behind the fast finishing American, and helping his chances of a promotion to the PGA Tour via the secondary Tour’s rankings at the end of the season.

Making the turn at one-over after a bogey at the par-4 3rd sandwiched between eight pars, Drewitt made another bogey at the par-5 10th to fall two back of Levin, who Monday qualified into the event and went on a tear on Sunday.

Levin, playing the group ahead of the Australian, had played the front nine in four-under and made back-to-back birdies at the 10th and 11th to look like he was set to pull away.

Drewitt edged his way back into the mix with two birdies of his own at the 11th and 12th to reach 19-under and in a tie with Levin.

A bogey at the 17th put the pressure back on Drewitt after Levin birdied the par-5 18th.

Needing an eagle at the last to force extra holes, Drewitt’s chip left a testy birdie putt to secure second alone, his fifth top-10 from seven starts this season.

He is now in second on the Korn Ferry Tour points list, while Levin will move to 11th after his first Tour win.

“I’ve played in so many of these things now and, I don’t know, it’s kind of weird. You just don’t ever know when it’s going to happen,” Levin said. “There were times before I thought it would happen, it didn’t. Today, it did. It was just my time.”
