Cameron Smith has been rewarded for his fine showing at the WGC-Match Play Championship with a berth at next week's Masters.
The 24-year-old Queenslander will join fellow Australians Jason Day, 2013 champion Adam Scott and Marc Leishman in an 87-man Masters field – the smallest assembled in 20 years.
Smith was among four players added to the field on Monday from the top-50 in the world ranking, along with Japan's Satoshi Kodaira, Dylan Frittelli of South Africa and American Chez Reavie.
That brings the field to 86 with one spot still available in this week's Houston Open, with the winner given a spot if he is not already eligible.
The 1998 Masters had 88 players.
Smith is currently the World No.44 after beating Patrick Cantlay (two up) and Hideki Matsuyama (one up) on his way to topping Group 5 at the Match Play.
The Australian then beat Tyrell Hatton in the last 16 before losing to Swede Alexander Noren in the quarter-finals.
