New South Wales' premier golf championship, the NSW Open, has received a significant boost with Golf Challenge extending its tenure as the tournament's naming rights partner for the next two years.

A month ago, Blake Windred and Chris Wood were neck-deep in the hunt for the Victorian PGA title at Moonah Links. Back then, Wood, the 33-year-old from Queensland won with a late birdie as Windred fell away on the back nine.
