In mid-February, a group of 24 Lexus Encore members took part in an event which set a new standard for luxury golf experiences. Over three unforgettable days, they played at some of the country’s most iconic courses – Royal Melbourne, Peninsula Kingswood and Victoria GC – while enjoying five-star hospitality along the way.

PLAYERS COMPETED IN A DAILY 2BBB STABLEFORD ALONGSIDE AN INDIVIDUAL EVENT

Beyond the fairways, guests stayed two nights at the brilliant, boutique Jackalope Hotel, a property hailed as “a timeless institution of unparalleled luxury.” Evenings were spent indulging in fine dining at the award-winning Doot Doot Doot, where a fusion of Asian cuisine and premium local produce delivered an unforgettable culinary experience.

The golf experience itself followed a 2BBB Stableford format each day, played alongside an individual competition. Daily winners took home a $150 voucher to spend at the golf club, while the overall individual champion was determined by the best two scores from the three rounds, allowing players to drop their lowest Stableford score.

The overall individual winner received tickets and accommodation to attend the Lexus pavilion at the Lexus Melbourne Cup, while the runners-up were treated to a custom putter club fitting. 

It’s hard to imagine a more exclusive and immersive golf experience – described as a “once-in-a-lifetime event” … unless Lexus Ambassador and Korn Ferry Tour pro Dimi Papadatos has his way. The Sydney local, who has already set his sights on returning next year, shared valuable insights on performance and technique with guests. As a former champion at the 2014 New Zealand Open and the 2018 Open de Portugal, and runner-up at the 2018 Australian Open, his advice was invaluable to the field.

Ahead of the first day’s play, guests were kitted out in branded apparel, custom-fitted FootJoy® (5) shoes, and premium golf essentials before stepping onto the world-renowned Royal Melbourne Golf Club, ranked among the finest courses globally. A shotgun start on the West Course set the competition in motion, with stellar performances right from the outset.
