During a long and celebrated career, Tom Linskey has had the opportunity to play golf with so many of Australia’s great sports people. He says that so many of them play golf every chance they get. Here we learn the three key things that Linskey, founder and head teaching professional at Australian Golf Schools, has learned from the movement of all athletes in ball sports.

"During my career, I’ve had the opportunity to play golf with so many of Australia’s great sports people – and they’re all crazy about the game," Linskey says. "Put it this way. The largest item of luggage carried on a cricket tour by the Australian team is their golf clubs." 

"What I’ve found in talking to these athletes is that the basic fundamentals of a golf swing apply to so many other sports as well. 

"I have broken it down to four immutable, fundamental laws: watch the ball, transfer weight, accellerate through the ball."
