I have travelled to Yarrawonga to play golf many times during the past 20 years and I reckon I have not seen the entire golfing complex looking any better. Obviously, there have been periods during that time when the effects of drought have been felt hard here but more recently the course has come to life. Of particular note during my last visit to compile this article was the high standard of presentation of the greens. The putting surfaces were simply superb and, when you consider the high numbers of golfers that play at Yarrawonga every day, it is a real credit to the work put in by course superintendent Chris Burgess and his team to raise the bar and keep it there.
