Former Ryder Cup player Thomas Pieters broke a two year victory drought on Sunday in Portugal and secured a place in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Here is what he had in the bag.

WEDGES: Titleist Vokey Design SM8 (46°-10° F Grind, 52°-08° F Grind and 56°-14° F Grind) and Titleist Vokey Design 2021 Prototype (58° L Grind), with True Temper Project X shafts.
PUTTER: Scotty Cameron TourType SSS SB-2.
BALL: Titleist Pro V1.
EQUIPMENT NOTES:
A long-time Callaway staffer, Pieters made the switch to a bag full of mostly Titleist equipment recently and returned to the winners’ circle for the first time since 2019 in Portugal on Sunday. The 29-year-old has been a consistent user of Mitsubishi’s Tensei shaft range since its release, with the White model in his fairway woods a low ball flight option to control the flight.
- The Belgian’s putter might appear like a fairly standard blade model widely used on the world’s professional Tours from a quick glance, however, the SB-2 model name identifies it as updated version of Scotty Cameron’s Squareback. Featuring a wider body for more stability and a different look, the model is like an enlarged Newport 2 shape and is the same style that LPGA star Nelly Korda uses.
-
Pieters' fifth European Tour win is the fourth straight for Titleist golf balls on the European Tour, which has two events left to run before its season concludes and the Race to Dubai champion is crowned.
