EQUIPMENT NOTES:

• Since his most recent win in Portugal, Pieters has made a number of equipment changes to his setup, one most likely to suit the course and conditions, the other a popular move amongst Tour player in 2022. Firstly, the Belgian removed his 7-wood in favour of a cavity back 3-iron in the form of a T100 from Titleist. The other change being Pieters replacing his SM8 Vokey wedges with the new SM9 model that was first unveiled in Hawaii and has yet to have any details released publicly about.
   
• A noted ball striker, Pieters carries three iron models in his bag, opting for more forgiveness in his 3- and 4-iron, while the muscle back blade irons starting at 5-iron give the 29-year-old added control and feel where he feels he needs it most.
   

• Pieters’ putter is an updated version of Scotty Cameron’s Squareback model, that possesses a shape similar to a Newport 2 blade model with a wider body for stability and to better suit the eyes of mallet putter users. The one-time World No. 23 paying tribute to his flatstick as the source of his improved play.

• Continuing a strong start to the year for Titleist golf balls on the World’s Tours, Pieters gives the brand’s Pro V1 and Pro V1x a second win from two DP World Tour events this season.
