BALL: Titleist Pro V1x.
EQUIPMENT NOTES:
The 30-year-old secured his second PGA Tour win, and second victory at this event, in front of a charging Jordan Spieth. Lee has made a few small changes to his setup in the 12 months since he charged home on Sunday at TPC Craig Ranch. New iron shafts, a new 3-wood and a change to his 4-iron are among the smaller changes for Lee who has resisted temptation to change his driver model despite it being superseeded in Callaway's line-up.
- Arguably the biggest change for Lee was with the shortest club in the bag. Winning last year with a fairly traditional blade model from Odyssey's premium Toulon range, Lee made the switch to an oversized mallet from Callaway's putter brand. His 2-Ball Fang helping to secure victory with a near eagle at the 72nd hole, his putting the biggest statistical improvement for the week after a run of missed cuts of late.
- With his win, Lee gives Titleist's Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls a 16th PGA Tour win from 21 events in 2022.
