EQUIPMENT NOTES:
Bradley’s first win in over four years is the first on the PGA Tour for the new PING G430 driver released just last week in Australia. Offered in the three models – Max, SFT and LST – the new driver marks significant ball speed improvements according to PING’s testing, with Bradley favouring the low spin LST model that is the only G430 model to feature a carbon crown.
-
The American is yet another devotee of Srixon’s ZX7 irons that have had success this year. Shane Lowry also used the model to win the BMW PGA Championship on the DP World Tour recently, while the forged player’s cavity was also in the bags of Minjee Lee and Hannah Green for wins this year, and Ryan Fox recently put in play a new ‘MKII’ version of the irons.
-
Bradley was the first player to win a men’s major championship with a belly putter when he captured the PGA Championship in 2011. In the wake of the ban on anchoring, the 36-year-old struggled on the greens before switching to an armlock model and now opts for a putter fitted with a wristlock grip to lock the putter into his lead arm.
-
Bradley continues the strong year for Srixon's Z-STAR range of golf balls that were used to win two women's majors, as well as events on the DP World and PGA Tours. The brand the choice of two of four winners of the ZOZO Championship.
QUOTE: “I was thinking about it the whole day today, just kind of remembering Tiger and how he walked a little slower than I noticed in the past, and I tried to do that. To have that same exact pin on 18 and be able to win, man, what a special day.” – Keegan Bradley.
