EQUIPMENT NOTES:
Kokrak’s maiden PGA Tour win was delivered by a best ever putting performance for the 35-year-old on the PGA Tour. Having ranked inside the top-100 for Strokes Gained: Putting for the season once during his career, Kokrak led the stat for the week in Vegas, paying tribute to his caddie and putting coach David Robinson (D-Rob) who reads almost every putt for the American and convinced him to change to a 36 inch Bettinardi model recently.
-
An extremely strong ball striker, Kokrak’s only clubs in the bag from his equipment sponsor PXG are 0311T irons, which in combination with his Vokey wedges he used to lead the field in greens in regulation and miss just one green on Sunday.
-
Kokrak’s win came in his 233rd PGA Tour start and gives Titleist three wins from six events in the new 2020/2021 PGA Tour season.
QUOTE: “I definitely had some nerves going. A little scar tissue from previous missed wins here and there, but called upon those.” – Jason Kokrak.
