FINAL LEADERBOARD

EQUIPMENT NOTES:

  • The South African’s second European Tour victory came in an event where he was heavily favoured as the highest ranked player in the field. One of the best putters on the European Tour, Bezuidenhout used his Odyssey mallet to near perfection at Leopard Creek on his way to a four shot victory. The 26-year-old’s flatstick features a bold alignment ‘T’ and is fitted with a two-thumb grip that puts both hands at an equal height on the putter and is also used by Englishman Matt Wallace.
  • Bezuidenhout is clearly a player that sticks with what works when it comes to his equipment. Outside of his MAVRIK Pro hybrid, released this year, the majority of his equipment dates back to 2017, with his Epic Flash woods being released in early 2019.
  • The now World No.41 gives Callaway’s Epic Flash driver a unique double claiming its second win at the same event in the same season when combined with Pablo Larrazabal’s win in December 2019 (part of the 2020 season), while Titleist golf balls record back-to-back wins on the European Tour in South Africa.

QUOTE: “This tournament has been close to my heart since I played it for the first time. It's always been a tournament I wanted to win and to pull it off today is really, really special to me.” – Christiaan Bezuidenhout.
