Cameron Champ closed with a Sunday 66 around TPC Twin Cities to claim his third PGA Tour win. Here is what the American had in the bag.
WINNING SCORE: 15-under-par, 269.
EQUIPMENT CHOICE:
DRIVER: PING G425 LST with 10.5° loft, fitted with Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei AV Raw White 75 TX shaft.
IRONS: PING i500 (3- & 4-iron) and PING iBlade (4-iron to pitching wedge), with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X7 shafts.
WEDGES: TaylorMade MG Hi-Toe Raw (52°, 56° & 60°), with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts.
PUTTER: PING PLD Anser 4 prototype.
BALL: Srixon Z-Star.
EQUIPMENT NOTES:
Champ’s equipment setup is one of the more unique on the PGA Tour having made a significant change at the top of his bag. One of the longest hitters in the game, the 26-year-old goes straight from his driver to his irons, with no fairway woods or hybrids in the bag. Likely rarely needing more than his strong 3-iron on second shots week in, week out and having plenty of short irons and wedges into the green, Champ has clearly found a balance in his bag that works. Champ’s 3-iron is a hollow body design with a hot face to give it some extra ball speed off the clubface and would act like a driving iron for Champ when in need of finding a fairway, while he also carries two 4-irons that carry different distances thanks to their construction.
PING drivers have been extremely successful of late, with Champ adding yet another win to the list of sponsored and free agent victors over the past two years. Champ’s driver is dialled in with a higher standard loft and low launch, low spin shaft, and averaging 317 yards this week.

Champ is part of a double win weekend for Srixon golf balls, with Aussie Minjee Lee claiming the Evian Championship on the LPGA Tour with the same Z-Star model that champed used in Minnesota.
QUOTE: “I just feel like the last two months I've been in a lot better head space and kind of realising what is truly important to me and what is not. I've just been sticking to it.” – Cameron Champ.
