EQUIPMENT NOTES:
- Grace ran away from compatriot and defending champion Louis Oosthuizen on Sunday with a final round of nine under 62 that came courtesy of an extremely hot putter. The 31-year-old currently uses the mid mallet Atlanta from Odyssey’s premium Toulon range of milled putters, Grace’s flatstick fitted with the company’s Stroke Lab shaft made from steel and graphite for improved tempo and stroke consistency. The South African needing just 22 putts over the final 18 holes to secure his first home open.
- Now a nine-time European Tour winner, every one of Grace’s wins on the world’s second biggest circuit has come as a member of Callaway’s Tour staff, while his victory makes it two from three trophies for Titleist Pro V1 golf balls on the European Tour for season 2020.
QUOTE:
“I played flawless golf and I can't remember the last time the putter was that hot.” – Branden Grace.
