EQUIPMENT NOTES:
Otaegui’s third European Tour win was courtesy of a final round 63 coming on the back of a hot putter, that saw him lead the field in all putting statistics on Sunday. Featuring Odyssey’s multi-material Stroke Lab shaft, the 27-year-old opts for a high-MOI mallet option.

Leading the field in Strokes Gained: Approach for the week, Otaegui combines the player’s cavity Apex Pro and blade Apex MB irons from equipment sponsor Callaway, while he has a significant gap of eight degrees between his two speciality wedges.

Despite previously winning the Paul Lawrie Match Play in 2017 and Belgian Knockout in 2018, Otaegui says stroke play is favourite type of tournament golf, his first victory in the format marking the third straight European Tour win for Titleist’s Pro V1 range of golf balls.
