The 16-year-old closed with a birdie at the 18th for a four-under 68 to finish at 20-under-par, the lowest total in the tournament’s three-year history and the largest winning margin on the LET this season. The win also vaulted her from 50th to 22nd on the Order of Merit.

“It’s super special being able to win this at 16; it’s so insane because I never believed that this would ever happen, but I’m so proud of myself,” Huang said. “I was really focused on the present and the moment, so the scores weren’t really a distraction to me. At the beginning of the season I didn’t have a tour card so being able to win is insane.”

Huang, who had her father on the bag all week, added: “It’s super special to have my dad on the bag because he’s caddied for me ever since I started golf.”

Starting the final round three clear, Huang briefly came under pressure as France’s Nastasia Nadaud birdied her opening two holes to move within one. But Nadaud’s challenge faltered with bogeys at the eighth and 14th, while Huang twice bounced back from bogeys with birdies to reassert control.

Nadaud, who finished second at 13-under, said: “Anna just played such solid golf since the beginning of the week so she deserved that. If I knew I would finish second at the beginning of the week, I’d sign up for that immediately, but it’s just a bit sad to shoot over par on the last day.”

Australia’s Maddison Hinson-Tolchard shot 69 to secure her best LET finish in outright third, while Singapore’s Shannon Tan placed fourth and Ireland’s Lauren Walsh continued her good form with another top-five.

Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini posted her 16th top-10 of the season in sixth, while Czech Jana Melichova finished inside the top 10 on her return to the tour. Order of Merit leader Mimi Rhodes tied 11th on six-under.

Nuria Iturrioz was the leading Spaniard, while amateur Carolina Lopez-Chacarra impressed on debut with a share of 26th.
