The 18-year-old from Royal Adelaide Golf Club will tee up against a strong line-up of Aussie women for the Australian Open from March 12-15 at Kooyonga Golf Club which includes Minjee Lee, Hannah Green, Grace Kim and Steph Kyriacou.

As the reigning Australian Girls Junior champion, Denton has gone on to be crowned the 2026 Australian Master of the Amateurs Champion, earning herself an invite to play in the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur this April.

After graduating from Year 12 last year, Denton has gone on to have a world amateur women’s ranking of 40 and will commence her US college career at Louisiana State University in August.

WPGA Tour of Australasia CEO Karen Lunn said: “Raegan’s progression through the junior pathways and her strong performances this season are a testament to the depth of emerging talent in Australian women’s golf.

“Playing in a stand-alone women’s Australian Open in Adelaide gives Raegan an incredible opportunity to shine in front of a home crowd which will be extremely special for her but also the fans.”

Golf Australia CEO James Sutherland said: “We’re delighted to see Raegan Denton earn her start in the women’s Australian Open.

“Raegan’s presence in the field reflects the strength of the Australian golfing pathway and the exciting depth of our women’s game. As a local player, she brings extra energy and pride to the event.”

“Events like the women’s Australian Open are about showcasing talent from around the world, but also celebrating the achievements of emerging Australians like Raegan. Playing on home soil at Kooyonga will be an unforgettable experience for her and her supporters.”
