The PGA Tour's return rolls into Detroit this week for the second Rocket Mortgage Classic. American Nate Lashley defends at Detroit Golf Club, but who do our so-called experts think will get the chocolates?
PGA TOUR - TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP

The consistently in-form player of the PGA Tour is BRYSON DECHAMBEAU and it’s about time he hoisted a trophy. He has notched up six consecutive top-10s since February … three prior to lockdown and three since transforming into the tour’s Incredible Hulk. To celebrate, I’d love to see him run into the clubhouse car park and lift a courtesy car over his head.

In just the second edition of this event it is hard to truly know the right combination to win at Detroit Golf Club, but good ball-striking is a nice start. HAROLD VARNER III certainly fits the bill as an elite iron player and I expect him to be in the mix this week.
Varner has recorded a T19 and T32 along with a missed cut since the PGA Tour restart, and although he didn’t play the weekend here last year I am looking for some value and the former Aussie PGA champion feels close to doing something special at home.

TONY FINAU has played 10 rounds and hasn’t shot anything worse than 70 since the PGA Tour resumed three weeks ago.
Surely the World No.17 pockets his second Tour victory sooner rather than later. He has accumulated six runner-up finishes since breaking through at the Puerto Rico Open at Coco Beach back in 2016.

You know who’s been quietly sneaking along the past couple of weeks? PATRICK REED, that’s who. He had a bad week at the Heritage (MC) but was T7 in the first event back and after a Sunday 64 at The Travelers – combined with a T5 finish at this event last year – the pieces of the puzzle may be in place for a good showing.
