Three-time major champion Vijay Singh will be hoping recent good form will translate into a victory when he returns to his homeland for the Fiji International in October.
Singh, 53, will be among the favourites for the title when it is played for the third time at the beautiful Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course from October 6 to 9.
Singh has won 60 tournaments including three Major Championships in 16 different countries around the world.

“I am so proud that Fiji now has a world class tournament which brings some excellent golfers to the country,” said Singh, who recently finished runner-up in the Quicken Loans National on the PGA Tour.
“I love coming home to play. I have managed some good finishes in the first two Fiji Internationals but I am hoping this is the year I am victorious.”
Following Cyclone Winston earlier this year, Singh believes it is more important than ever that he competes in this year’s Fiji International.
“Winston was devastating for Fiji, but the people of Fiji are tenacious and the country has started to recover,” Singh added.
“Fiji is working hard to showcase that it is open for business, the Fiji International plays a big role in that and I hope that my competing in the tournament will help spread the message.”
Singh joins American Brandt Snedeker as the marquee players for the Fiji International as it becomes co-sanctioned by the European Tour and ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia for the first time.

“Vijay has had an illustrious career and continues to be a competitive force on the PGA Tour,” said Brian Thorburn, CEO of the PGA of Australia which oversees the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia.
“Having Vijay, Fiji’s most successful sportsman, compete at the Fiji International, the country’s largest sporting event is always a key priority for us.
“Through the Fiji International we aim to grow Fiji as a golfing destination but also grow golf in the country. Bringing Vijay home to inspire the next generation of golfers is integral to that vision.”
