Renato Paratore has become the first winner on the European Tour since it returned from its four-month coronavirus hiatus, defeating Rasmus Højgaard by three shots at the Betfred British Masters.
The 23-year-old Italian began the final round at Close House Golf Club with a one-shot advantage and, despite windy conditions, managed to card two-under 69 to finish on 18-under-par and collect his second career Tour title.

West Australian Jason Scrivener was the best of the Aussies, carding rounds of 70, 69, 71 and 69 to share 29th place.
Queenslander Jake McLeod tied for 67th, while Maverick Antcliff (+1), Scott Hend (+2) and Min Woo Lee (+4) each missed the cut.
