The Rossie, #7 and Indy heads are precision-milled from stainless steel and lightweight aluminium to increase moment of inertia (MOI), with weight precisely located in the perimeter of each putter increasing stability. The aluminium section of the EXO models also allows the head sizes to be slightly increased on the three original designs to further increase forgiveness.

In addition to the weight saving and design benefits of the multi-material exoskeleton that gives the new models their name, the 6061 aluminium, finished in red, and the 17-4 stainless steel, finished in black, provide the EXO range’s standout looks.

The appearance of the new models further enhanced by a skim-milling process that refines corners and edges and adds to the overall look and feel.

“Red putters in a way have reinvigorated the market, whilst Black putters are more timeless, and now we have a family of super high-MOI designs that incorporate both colours so beautifully,” General Manager of Odyssey Golf Sean Toulon said.

“Odyssey EXO is the culmination of some of the best looks and technology and the putters look amazing. Our Tour players love the sound, they love the feel and the cosmetics are striking.”

Like the putter heads themselves, the new ‘White Hot Microhinge’ insert combines technology from some of Odyssey’s latest releases with its Tour-proven models of the past to produce improved roll and the soft feel the company is renowned for. Microhinge technology from the O-Works range helps the all-important forward roll of the ball off the putter face, while the insert itself possess a slightly firmer feel that is “identical” to that of the historic ‘White Hot’ insert used to win multiple major championships according to the company.

To ensure the range includes a putter for every stroke type and player the three head shapes are offered in a face balanced option as well as a slant neck or ‘S’ version, which gives the putter toe hang.

EXO putters are available in golf shops from May 18.
