Our man Matt Cleary followed around four of Australia’s best shot specialists – Australia’s mini-golf champion, our national long-drive title-holder, a teaching pro from Carbrook GC and a crack women’s pro. The quartet together not only destroyed the Royal Pines layout on the Gold Coast in the ultimate Ambrose grouping, they were kind enough to offer up valuable insights into what has worked for them to take their individual skills to the next level.
Brendan James ventured out to The Australian Golf Club and reported back on the condition of the famous course. Spiler alert – it is still the best-conditioned parkland layout in the country, illustrating all the qualities of a world-class tournament venue.
