Designed to max out three key performance areas, FootJoy’s latest high performance golf shoes, Tour X, will be available around Australia beginning February 1.
Already worn on Tour by some of the world’s best players, including Kevin Kisner and Rafa Cabrera Bello, the new model combines elements and components from three of the company’s Tour-proven models with the aim of delivering the ultimate “X” factor when it comes to golf shoes, with max stability, control and comfort.
“This is a powerful shoe with a strong, stable foundation that allows me to max out my swing speed while staying locked to the ground,” Kisner said of the new model offered in three colourways with laced and Boa options.
Innovative design and materials have been incorporated by FootJoy to ensure a stable foundation that allows for increased power from the ground up during the golf swing.
The most stable in FootJoy’s range, the ‘PowerPlate’ outsole offers maximum ground coverage for stability and to provide a powerful base, while the combination of the midsole/outsole system featuring a full TPU layer with 9 ‘LaunchPods’ further increase the coverage and offer greater stability.
Providing the control element of the Tour X, FootJoy’s ‘PowerStrap’ locks in the foot with medial and lateral support, and combines with the ‘PowerEye’ lets to allow golfers to achieve greater balance.
Fully waterproof and made with a premium ‘Chromoskin’ leather by Pittards of England, the new model offers comfort and a custom fit through its ‘OrthoLite Impressions FitBed’ combining an ‘Open Cell PU Foam’ that maintains its mechanical properties and cushion and an ‘Impressions Foam’ that moulds to players foot. The comfort factor elevated further through a ‘3D Moulded Collar’ and ‘Tour-Spec Stretch Tongue’.
“This gives me everything I want – athletic style, incredible comfort and the stability I need in my footwear,” Cabrera Bello said.
SRP: $339.95 (Boa); $299.95 (lace).
