World No.16 Tony Finau has returned a positive test for COVID-19, the PGA Tour announced earlier today.
In a statement, the Tour said Finau tested positive as part of the pre-tournament screening procedure at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas and was immediately ruled out of the tournament.
The big-hitting Finau later confirmed the positive test on Twitter.
Earlier today, I received a positive result for Covid-19 under PGA TOUR on-site testing protocols and have begun a period of self-quarantine to protect others around me. I am feeling well, and am otherwise in good spirits.

The 31-year-old was due to have his first start since finishing T8 at the US Open at Winged Foot. The married father-of-four will now go into quarantine.
Finau is the 11th player to test positive for COVID-19 since the PGA Tour restarted in June.
