Cameron Davis has won his first title on the Web.com Tour after overcoming a six-shot deficit at the Nashville Golf Open Benefitting the Snedeker Foundation.
Davis, who won the 2017 Australian Open, began the final round six shots adrift of the lead and opened with six pars before rolling in back-to-back birdies.
But the New South Welshman still trailed eight players as he made the turn at the Nashville Golf and Athletic Club.
Birdies at 11, 13, 15 and the difficult par-3 17th saw Davis quickly climb the leaderboard – and by the time he stood over his tee shot at the final hole, he knew he was right in contention.
The 23-year-old remained calm, kept his foot on the accelerator and went for the green in two at the par-5 finishing hole.
His ball settled close to the putting surface and by the time he made his up-and-down for birdie, he had earned his maiden Tour victory in just his fifth start of the season.

“There were nerves out there, I didn’t know the exact situation, but I knew I was up there and to make a few putts is really nice,” said Davis, who required just 25 putts on Sunday.
“I kept on holing putts even when the pressure was on, which is a big improvement for me. It’s nice that I could get it done under pressure.”
Davis will be hoping to continue his good form when he tees it up at Muirfield for the Memorial Tournament next week.
“The field is full of the top players in the world,” he said. “I can’t tell you how I’ll feel until I actually get out there to play a PGA Tour event, but it’ll be awesome to be out there.”
