Cam Smith has won his second LIV Golf event in as many months, romping to a seven-shot victory in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Australia's 2022 Open Champion and former World No.2 fired a final-round 68 to finish at 12-under to blitz the field at Trump National Golf Club.
Indian Anirban Lahiri was a distant runner-up at five-under after closing with a 70 on Sunday, while Phil Mickelson’s challenge from the final group with Smith never eventuated, a quintuple bogey eight at the par-3 7th part of a four-over 75.
The 29-year-old Smith’s latest victory was his seventh in the past 19 months and third on the Saudi-backed Tour following success at LIV Golf International Chicago in September, 2022 and LIV Golf London last month.
“Yeah, that was a good day. Greg (Norman) was out there all day, I noticed that,” Smith told the television broadcast after the round. “It’s good having a fellow Aussie there and one of the greatest of all-time (Mickelson) competing against you. Yeah, it was a good day.”
Fellow Australian Marc Leishman (71) tied for seventh at two-under, with Jed Morgan (66) finishing at three-over and Matt Jones (70) four-over.

Smith's dominant display also helped the all-Australian Ripper GC to a first LIV team title.
With a 20-under total, Ripper finished runaway 11-shot winners from the Crushers team of Lahiri, Bryson DeChambeau, Charles Howell III and Paul Casey.
“Unreal. We all know that Jed’s got that in him and that’s why he is on the team,” Smith said of fellow Queenslander Morgan, who has struggled during 2023.

“He’s one of the best young guys coming out of Australia and we want on the Rippers for a long time. It’s good to see him playing well, because I know it’s been a bit of a long season for him, but hopefully this kicks it on.”
Smith's total prize money for the week was a cool $US4.75 million ($A7.31 million).
He pocketed an individual winner's cheque for $US4 million ($A6.16 million) and picked up another $US750,000 ($A1.15 million) for his share of the team's success.
